AOC Corbières red


Terroir :
sandy clay-and-limestone, halfway up the hillsides

Grape varieties :
the traditional Corbières triptych - Carignan, Syrah, Black Grenache

Vinification :
harvest destemmed and crushed, vinified in cement tanks with temperature control.

The harvest date is chosen depending on the ripeness of the phenolics and on the taste of the grapes.

An average 3 weeks on the skins; cap pushed down.

Maturing :
in cement tanks.
We bottle the wine ourselves at the estate.

Tasting :
strong ruby red with a trace of purple. Aromas of light berry fruit - raspberry, strawberry &endash; with peppery, minty aromas. Very gentle in the mouth, well-rounded yet fine, with a rewarding sappy finish.

Should be drunk while its fruitiness persists.

Keeping : 3-5 years

Serving temperature : 15°-17°C

Available in traditional 750ml Bordeaux bottles, in cases of 6, packed upright.
